We booked our wedding today also. We booked The Sands of Atlantic Beach for 2/16/02. It does seem very very far away but I know the time will fly with all the planning to do. I am even going to my first wedding showcase today at Russos on the Bay. Does anyone know when the one is by Laguadia airport? I heard that one was great. Well, I am sure I will be posting a many more messages on this board as the planning gets underway.

Hi Elisa - Congratulations and welcome to the board! You will definitely find lots of info and ideas shared here. I noticed that you are getting married around Valentine's Day and just want to tell you that I recall someone posting here that they are getting married 2/16/01 and are having an issue with flowers. I would suggest contacting some florists earlier that usual just because your wedding is right near one of the biggest flower holidays of the year. You have a bit of time (but yes, it will go quickly!) but that is something I wouldn't have thought of until I read it here. Good luck - and have fun with it (the planning!) Heather

Thanks for the advice!!
I say go for it! I'm a second-timer and am using my fi's family in the bridal party instead of mine. I might ask my family members to do a reading or those little wedding day make-sure everything-goes-smoothly jobs, so that they are included, but don't have to shell out more $ then they want to.
I was wondering if any of you have had a King's wedding. I WAS planning on having my sister as my MOH, but she is getting me more & more angry as we progress. First, she didn't like the dress color that I prefer, second, she complains she has NO MONEY for a shower or any 'bridal' type things for me..lol YUP I am the 'but you were married before' bride, and the final straw came on Sunday when we attended a cousins bridal shower where she is the MOH and gave her a TON of gifts.
