Did any of you book vendors without meeting them? There is a videographer that we love however he is upstate and he claiming that it is unlikely that he will be down to the Long Island area to meet with me prior to your wedding...........
My wedding is 1 yr and 1 month away... anyhoo, I was just curious if any former brides book vendor/s without meeting them and didnt have problems??????

I was an OOT bride, so I booked most of my vendors through (very detailed) phone calls. I did a lot of research too to make sure they were legit.

i dont like that guys answer.
i met with all of our vendors. i think espec after this whole *florist* thing happened i would be extra careful too. i'd want to see a legit office setup, etc. there's obvi a lot of schemers out there

I switched my photo and video a month and a half before my wedding and booked LoveMore and Couped Up... without meeting them... it was all based on their reviews from other brides and their reputation

I booked my Photographer & Videographer (Duet), my florist (B urtons), Makeup (Oksana), and Hair (Jenn the Hair Genie) all without meeting them. I had alot of confidence in them, and they were all highly reccomended not just on this site, but other places as well. I am very happy with all of the vendors that I booked without meeting.

I booked most vendors on the spot without looking at any others.

I'm probably going to book my DJ without meeting them....but then again my family has used the company before and i was recently at a wedding where he played and i loved him!
But, if i never heard of the vendor and didnt already know his work....i would totally meet before booking!

i would NEVER book with anyone until i met with them and got a feel for the company and their work!
