Booking a hair stylist w/o a trial?

Booking a hair stylist w/o a trial?

There's this one hair salon that I have never gone to, but, I LOVE all their hairstyles on their website. It looks like they do fantastic work. The trial is crazy expensive and even though I only did one trial....I don't want to spend more money!

So, my question is- would you book a hair stylist even thought you NEVER did a trial or had any services from them?

no, not if I never did any of their services.

My hairdresser has been cutting my hair since my early teens. The last time she gave me an updo was for junior prom! But I have booked her without doing a trial yet because I know her work is good. But I will be doing one closer in just to figure out what I want.

If you book someone who doesn't know your hair at all I would worry that it that could lead to bad things the day of!!

I'm using my regualr girl, I LOVE her. We will do a trial and play around but I trust her and have seen what she can do. I'm having my whole bridal party go there too. I like the idea of brining business to a place/people I like rather than someone who I will never see again.

i wouldn't. everyone's hair is different and your hair may not hold the styles that are shown on their website.

See, I wouldn't mind doing a trial if they would apply the cost of the trial to the day of...They also require a minimum of 5 people too!!
I looked at a ton of websites and this salons work stands out the most.

At the same time, OF COURSE a hair salon would post pics of their best work!!! I'm so torn...I guess I should just s*ck it up and do a trial!

I'm using my friend who usually does my hair all the time. Ive never had her do an updo or anytype of wedding hair on me and i'm a little nervous about having her do it without a trial but i'm trusting her cuz she has always done a GREAT job!

I booked Roseanna Amador before I had my trial. My trial is on the 29th of this month. Her portfolio and the pics posted by other brides look amazing. I was scared that someone would book her because I have a few date twins.

I booked my hair person without having a trial. My MOH has seen her work on other people and recommended her, so I just went with it. I had my trial a few weeks ago and I LOVE IT!

if youre asking me, you must know im the wrong girl to ask since ive had such hair dilemmas lol

id go for the trial...try to find a day where you will be able to go out and use the hair style so its not a total waste of money.

I would not be able to. Although the work on the site looks great, I would need to see it on me.

I booked Stacy Pitt without a trial. I wanted to wait until I had my headpiece and didn't want her to get booked. I am confident that both her and my hair will work perfectly together.

I actually just contacted someone who used them and they advised I book right away since they book fast! I think I'm just gonna take the same approach...get the headpiece and then go for a trial! But in the meantime, I think I'm gonna book!!! This is soooo unlike me...
