Booking airfare on the internet?

Booking airfare on the internet?

I'm trying to book our flights for our honeymoon to Jamaica. When I first started looking, it was $650...last week it was $700 and now they are down to about $500...should I book this now or could it go even lower?

Also, any recommendations on site I can check besides expedia and orbitz??

Thanks!

You can check the individual airlines as well.

There is no way of knowing how low the fares can go.

You could call the airlines to see what their policy is about adjusting the prices - I know they used to refund you the money if the prices went down. I don't think this option would be available through expedia or orbitz.

usually airlines publish new fares tues night/wed morning so you might want to wait until wed to see if you can get it a little cheaper and if not book this one.

I found air jamaica to be the cheapest. We then upgraded at the airport to first class. IT was 150 per person per flight. Definitely worth it.

Also travelocity...But our agent gave us the lowest quote, and watches it and if the prices go down, she will refund the difference! You might want to try calling an agent.

Flight & hotel room prices changed over the course of when we booked HM ... DH called each carrier/hotel and they kept giving us the cheaper price.

The airlines were United, JetBlue and Southwest (all originally booked on the net).

Thanks everyone! I guess I just need to make the decision of whether or not to wait until it goes down!

I have found that the more I checked online for the same flights over and over, the more the prices would go up. I dont know if thats because the airlines feel there is a demand for those flights by all the hits on the internet or if it is just random luck, but if I found a good rate, I'd book now!

travelocity is great and continental.com offers getaways, too. $700 per person?? Did you try a travel agent for an all-inclusive trip?

Ron & Liz were our travel agents...we won part of the trip at the get together in January!
