Since the holidays are so crazy, my BMs and I have decided that we'll start shopping for their gowns in January.
I still need to book a florist, and would really like to get it done before the new year.
Would it be okay to book a florist Before the BM dresses are selected? Or should I wait?
Also, when you book - is your exact total in the contract? Or is that all ironed out later onced you know exactly how many centerpieces, etc. you need?

I haven't gotten my dress nor the bridesmaids yet and I just booked my florist before thanksgiving. I went with Jack and rose. I have an idea of what I want but he said I can pick what I want when it gets closer to the wedding.

If yo uare looking at someone like Jack and Rose BOOK NOW! He books up pretty quick. If yo uare looking at a regular florist some want the colors, some don't care. I know Flowers Michelle wanted my dresses picked out first. I would defintely start looking. As for price, it depends, Jack and Rose will give you a set price for everything .....whatever you want. Ohter florists will give you a roundabout number. You will see when you meet with them. I would recommend setting up some appointments if you can handle it with all the holiday stress. good luck oh and I picked Jack and rose

If you want the florist to give you design ideas, its a great help to have the color of the BMs dresses. And even the style of the dress helps the florist determine what type of look you're going for.
If you know exactly what you want, you don't need the dresses.
Pricing depends on the florists - some give you one price for everything while others itemize each price (which I prefer). That way I knew exactly how my total would change by adding centerpieces, etc. You don't need to have all your details finalized.

I booked my florist before picking out MOH dress. I knew what color she would be wearing & had an idea of what flowers I wanted. Florist gave me a quote for what I wanted but we will finalize everything closer to the wedding.
