I posted a while ago about how I was trying to book with Adventura Spa Palace. I was thrilled with the place. I contacted a travel agency online. When it came time to book I was told I had to leave a $650 deposit. That sounded fine until they said they couldn't guarantee a king size bed, ocean view or non smoking room. I was very upset because we really liked that place. The agent told me there was nothing I could do about it, it was Hotel Policy . My parents suggested that I call their travel agent. Well, I just came back from her and she was able to guarantee an ocean view, king size bed and non smoking room. According to her, when you book online those companies get the 'leftovers' and thats why they couldn't guarantee it. She also offered me insurance which I had never heard of but I'm looking into. So basically the online agency lied to me- it wasn't hotel policy, it was that they agency couldn't get it. So just a warning to all of you who are booking online, make sure they give you a guarentee
