booking RH

booking RH

ok so my FH and I agreed to book the RH this month. He's been chomping at the bit to do it and I wanted to wait bc I had been cut a day at work for a year until recently.

I'm having a coronary over it...paying for it that is. lol

I'm forcing him to look at Lombardis on the Bay but I know he's dead set on Land's End. Plus, I know it's going to be too small, although a smaller venue forces Mr Groomzilla to cut his list and not invite his second grade teacher, the crossing guard from elem school and his barber. lol

Deep breaths....

ok, i've seen Lombardi's but I've never been to Lands End.
Which is smaller? and do you want the smaller venue?

Lombardis is way smaller. I think the max is 150 and Land's End is in the 200s. I haven't seen Lombardi's since they bought it from Louis XVI. We used to go there for special occasions.

FH isn't going to budge on this I know, but I want to at least say I tried.

Re: booking RH

This makes me laugh because this is exactly me and FH, only I was dead set on Land's End.

You're right Lombardi's is smaller. But the prices I was quoted were like night and day there was such a difference. Also, Land's End asked to guarentee almost twice as much as Lombardi's.

Land's End was the 1st place we looked and I LOVED it. I was closing my eyes to the price and begged, argued and cried about it (yes I'll admit- like a brat) for weeks with FH. Then a friend who lives near Lombardi's had said they just opened the location on the Bay and suggested we look. A week later we booked with Lombardi's.

We booked in the beginning of July, when renovations were not complete, and the prices were 'Grand Opening' promotion (not sure if it is still being offered). Although the place is small, Lombardi's has a great reputation and it was absolutely beautiful. From the minute I steped into the room I knew we would book with them. As we were walking out FH looked at me and was like 'I can just see us having our first dance as husband and wife in there- I just have such a good feeling'. And I agreed 100%.

We plan on inviting between 160-170 people. Figure we will have some declines, so no more than 150-160 attending. Both halls are absolutely beautiful. Good luck! Let me know if you need any help/advice!
