Has anyone booked their honeymoon or vacation through expedia.com??? Is it a legitimate service? Should we book our honeymoon through the internet, or through a travel agency? Can a travel agency get the same prices as an internet vacation service? Thanks!

Re: Booking your honeymoon...
Hi Melissa- I have used expedia.com for other trips and was always happy with them but having said that... I booked my honeymoon through AMEX (American Express) I really think it depends on where you'd like to go for your honeymoon and if you have been there before(know the area). If you are going to a different country then maybe a travel agent could help you by letting you in on some great sights or little known areas or great places to eat-- things like that. If you are going to a resort or Disney or some place like that I think it would be just fine to book it yourself online. Good Luck!!! Oh by the way, I LOVE your dress!

Thank you very much!!!! We will be going to Disney for a few days, and then we were interested in going to the Bahamas for 4 nights, and then returning to Orlando for a couple of nights and going to Universal. Do you think booking our honeymoon through expedia be allright? Thanks!

Re: Booking your honeymoon...
I think that Disney is a very do-it-youself friendly place for people doing planning on their own( I booked Disney that way a few years ago) . Maybe you could even go to Disney.com and see if they have any cruise packages that include both Bahamas and Disney (the Big Red Boat) as a matter of fact now that I am thinking about it that is just what my brother and his wife did for their honeymoon and they had a blast (3 days in bahamas and 4 days at the parks but that was 13 years ago!)! I would shop around! Have fun!!!

I booked my HM through a travel agent but I bought our airline tickets from Expedia.com. I am really happy with their service. We saved a TON of money booking the flights through them -

Re: Booking your honeymoon...
Hi, I saw that Disney.com was having a great deal... from 8/31 - 10/2 of this yr. They have 4D/3N (on one of the Disney Resorts) w/Park Hopper passes for $325pp (including airfare from NY. I'm not sure when ur wedding is, but hope this helps!
I know expedia is legit...It uses the same packages as most of the big name companies...
orbitz and travelocity...
disney and bermuda sound internet friendly...
I worked for an airline for 3 years and always book on my own, b/c I feel like I know the ropes, but for our honeymoon we went to a travel agent...who got us good deals and I don't have to worry about planning it...
