I hate that. Clearly Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after should all be off. Plus New Years Day and the next day for recuperating.

You should just declare youself winner in the 2008 election and then get to work.
Or just run and make your platforms 3 day weekends, recuperation days for holidays and liquid lunches.
