Booting a BM??

Booting a BM??

I wanted to keep my bridal party ALL FAMILY...So I have my sister, my cousin, and FH's 2 sisters. Recently one of FH's sisters is creating a problem in our life (NWR-long story). If this had happened about 2 months ago, I would have reconsidered having her in my BP. Is it too late? Am I stuck with her now?

Its never too late!!! Is it going to create more problems if you tell her she is no longer in your BP though?? What does your FI think???

In all honesty, it MIGHT cause more trouble. However, whenever I think about this whole situation (the trouble she's causing), I cry. I dont think I should be having these feelings about one of my BM's.
He thinks that the problem is not really that BIG of a problem to begin with. He's a man, thinks I'm too sensitive.

If she makes you feel this way then you maybe you should 'boot' her. You shouldn't have someone in your BP that makes you cry just thinking about it. I also wonder if this is something that might be resolved? You don't want to disinvite her only to reinvite her into your BP 7 months from now. You know? Just make sure whatever you do you are 100% sure that that's what you want.

This is definitely a touchy subject. However, if you are not happy having a BM that is only going to cause trouble, then I think you should speak to her and discuss whatever it is that his bothering you. If she is unresponsive, then I think you could definitely boot her.

Re: Booting a BM??

I did the opposite, I am using all friends as adult members of my bridal party for 2 reasons. The first is that my sisters are much older than I am and would prefer NOT to wear bridesmaid dresses. The second reason, though THEY don't know this is because they are loud, overbearing and difficult. They are confrontational with each other and everyone else whereever they go. I witnessed this when one of them got married before. they fought in a bridal store over pantyhose. I don't want this to happen during my happy time. So I chose to do what is best for me and my sanity. I decided to use the children of my siblings as attendants. Children accept things as they are and don't have the personalities to cause family rifts.

So basically, you have todo whatis best for you. People may disagree with your choice but in the end,it is noone's business but yours.

to me it is never to late. it is your wedding and your bridal party. if someone is causing problems and you dont want them in the bridal party you have every right to give them the boot. you shouldn't have to worry about whether or not a fight or argument is going to break out because of this one girl. how does fh feel about this whole thing?????
