I was totally set on the Eastwind and then I went to the showcase and it wasn't that great (the food). and then The Bourne Mansion called me and brought down their price!!! It brings it closer but still a little over budget!
Should I even consider the Bourne Mansion or just trust that the Eastwind has great food (which is what I have heard on this site)?!?!?!?

I had my wedding at East Wind. I can honestly say if I had to decide based on the food at a showcase I might not have booked. However, DH & I had an actual tasting which showed us how good the food truly is, and then we went to a wedding in May (ours was October) at EW and the food was just as we expected based on the tasting (not the showcase).

We almost booked the Bourne-it was a little out of our budget but it is GORGEOUS!

I just got married at the bourne and it was fabulous!!!! totally recommend it if you are looking for something different and a WOW factor

I got married at the Bourne and it was the most amazing place on earth. You will not regret it if you book with Bourne. It is a one of a kind place that your guests will really enjoy and the service is spectacular. They really know how to throw a wedding. You won't have to lift a finger. Plus, you won't be running into any other brides on your wedding day, which was very important to me. It is just you, your family, and your friends. Good Luck!!

Like another EW bride, go for a tasting. We did one the night we decided to book. The food is amazing!
Now onto Bourne, it is gorgeous- we do an annual ball there for work. My job also works with Lessings all the time so we constantly get to have their food and in all honesty, I think EW's food is just as good if not better (IMO, don't want to hurt anyone's feeling).
If you do book Bourne Mansion I would suggest bringing in nice trailer bathrooms. I know you're thinking trailers?? But the bathrooms inside the mansion are so small and I know from experience from our ball, that it is incredibly difficult to move around in there- and that is just with a ball gown!!!
Another thing about EW is the Inn. That is so nice to offer your guests! You have a difficult decision to make- best of luck and let me know what you choose!!
