I have been thinking about this for a while, and was wondering if anyone out there would know if this was possible, or where it could be done..
In the same way that celebrities borrow jewelry for events-- is there anywhere out there that offers a similar service for brides??

Re: Borrowing Jewelry?
I thought about doing that, becuase I know soo many people from 47th street, but I dont think it's a good idea. First I dont think I would be able to relax on my wedding day, thinking I would loose it or brake it. Second, these celebrities usually have bodyguards or security from the jewlery place (Harry Winston, for example). oh.. also, the jewlery maker lends the celebrities jewelery so the celebrity can be a live walking advertisement on the red carpet. Who will know to ask you 'what are you wearing?' @ you wedding, LOL, unless u invite Joan and Melissa Rivers!!

Yeah- I was def not thinking Harry Winston-- just something that I did not want to spend money on to buy.. Nothing too over the top.. Just something a little more special.

if you have a specific jeweler that you use you might be able to ask them. My cousin wore Gorgeous Harry Winston earrings for her wedding that she borrowed.

How'd she manage that?

Could you possibly get really good fakes?
A friend of mine recently wore a GORGEOUS necklace and matching earrings to her wedding. I couldn't stop staring at them the whole time, I thought they were real! I figured she borrowed them from a high-end jeweler, but when I asked her she admitted that they were fake and she bought them at a store in the city.

I am sure I could.. I just thought it was a cool idea worth exploring if the price was right..
I have been looking around a bit- and the only things I have been seeing are real things in catalogues

thanks.. unfortunately the jeweler we bought our wedding bands at is in Philly..
I think this is a brilliant idea though-- real jewelry on loans as a service to brides.. I should start working on a business plan now! You know- like netflix, with jewelry.

Try Emitations or Landau. Landau has stores in RF Mall, and scattered all over the city. Landau
I was also in Saks recently and they had reasonably priced fake stuff.
