Re: Boston Bachelorette Parties
Hmmmm well FH is from Massachusetts, but whenever I visit, we rarely go to clubs, etc... but there are lots of bars to choose from. And Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market are great places to have lunch and shop during the day. Boston is just an overall fun city (although I hate admitting that to FH ). You will definitely have fun!!!

There are lots of great restaurants on newbury street and boylston. I love Cottonwood..b/c I love mexican food.
The Alley might be fun for clubs if you are looking for clubs.

I went to Boston University for college, so I've been to a few pretty good places. You're going to have a great time!
My recommendations: Quincy Market Copley Square Fire & Ice (awesome restaurant by Harvard) The Rack (a great bar in Quincy Market) Vinny Testa's (awesome Italian restaurant) The Black Rose (an Irish Bar in Quincy Market)
Those were some of my favorites when I was in college. Have fun!

Thanks for the help- keep the ideas coming... If we are staying right near Fenway is that near Fanueil Hall or Quincy market? What types of shops are there- different/ cute stuff or basic clothing stores? Also, has anyone heard of the liquor store bar with the mechanicl bull? Besides cottonwood I heard of Cactus club- which one is a more fun atmosphere for Happy Hour/ dinner Friday night? Thanks so much!!!

Re: Boston Bachelorette Parties
I went to college in Boston as well. Fenway is not very close to Fanueil Hall but its a small city compared to NY so its really not too far. I always loved the bar Ned Divine's in Fanueil hall. Shopping in fanueil hall is pretty much standard stores, JCrew, Gap, Abercrombie but they usually have some street performers out if the weaher is OK.
You could take a bus or trolley tour and they show you the outside of cheers and the liberty trail and all that stuff.
I also recommend fire and ice and i loved Vinny Testa's when I was there. Vinny t's was not expensive either.
Theres a reall cool piano bar called jake ivorys if you're looking to do something different. I think thats near fenway too actually.

Re: Boston Bachelorette Parties
i live just north of boston.
I would go to D*cks last resort..i belive they just moved to Fanuil Hall. There are a ton of bars and clubs through there too if you want to stay in walking distance. Hard Rock Cafe
I also recommend the black rose, the purple shamrock and ned devines. Sissy K's is okay too.
There is also a comedy club right there.(comedy connection)

Re: Boston Bachelorette Parties
I live in boston (but getting married in NY) and from what I know, Jake Ivory's (a dueling piano bar) is a fun and popular place for bachelorette parties (I've been to one there). also, have heard about the liquor store (heard it's fun), also there's other clubs like Gypsy Bar, and a bunch along by faneuil hall and also by landsdown street.

Re: Boston Bachelorette Parties
I lived in Boston for years after I graduated college and I think it depends what type of place you want. Faneuil hall has bars, THe back bay has some nicer bar/lounge type places and reg bars, Fenway area has dirty bars and nicer ones (cause its right by the stadium). THere is plenty to do...spas, duck tour, shopping but most shopping is just like any other city.

i live in boston and for my bachelorette, we went to PF changs for dinner, then we went to Jacques Cabaret, which was a HYSTERICAL drag show...and then we went out to a few bars and stuff. It was so much fun. just an idea!!! (you don't see drag queens everyday!!!)
