Boston Restaurant Recs

Boston Restaurant Recs

We are going to Boston for my FSIL's graduation. Because my FILs are idiots, they did not make any reservations (which is crazy considering that everyone is graduating that weekend). Anyway, the graduation starts at 11am, so we want to go out for an early dinner. Some place nice, but my FILs are not accustomed to really great fancy places. So something that is not pretentious. We will be in the Fisher College area.

FI and I love fancy restaurants, so any recs for those are also good.

Legal Seafoods is always a safe bet. I am not sure if they take reservations.

Skip Jacks is good for seafood. I have been to Boston many times, but I can't remember the places I have eaten. You can always check out Chowhound they have really great advice.

I mostly know restaurants in the Cambridge area - Oleana is really good, as is Harvest. There's a Todd English restaurant in Charlestown(?) whose name I've forgotten. Have you tried the Boston board on theknot?

I love the Meritage Restaurant in the Boston Harbor Hotel. It is pretty pricey but definitely worth it.

Bonfire is another one of Todd English's places. It is a very romantic spot. I can't remember the exact location.

If you like Seafood and don't want to go to Legal Seafood (since there's only on LI ) - I highly recommend Kingfish Hall in Faneuil Hall

It's really good and has a great vibe and is also Todd English!
