does anyone know of a botanical garden on LI that hosts wedding receptions? there is the palm house in brooklyn www.palmhouse.com which looks beautiful, but might be too far for everyone to travel (about an hour). i'm thinking that if many of the guests will be drinking, we could always hire a bus - which of course ups the price even more if you guys know of a botanical garden on LI, please let me know. i heard there was one in manhasset. i keep going back and forth on reception sites, can't seem to make a decision (ha ha)

thanks for the feedback guys. sorry it had to turn out this way. i am going to look and base my decisions then. i work in a school district on long island that is not located in the best of the best areas and there is a catering hall (very nice) down the street. so, it goes to show you that catering halls are not always found in the 'best areas', but we all need to view what is most important to us and weigh the options. if i love the palm house, i'm going with it. as new yorkers, we have learned to adjust to our environment (good and bad). again thanks for your input! please keep them coming.
