I'm going to be introducing the bottle to Caiden. I got the 1 month +, slow flow nipple. I don't think it's going to come out fast enough for him. He eats like crazy. How will I know if the amount that comes out with that nipple is enough? I was thinking about getting the medium flow nipple even though it's 3 months +. What do you think? Thanks!

Re: Bottle nipple question...
JMO- but I would not get him used a faster nipple since you still want to bf him. Your nipples will never go faster so you don't want him to start to like the bottle better.

i second what michele says. just give him the newborn nipple. it's meant to imitate the mommy and it would be a shame if he refused the breast because the bottle is easier.

Don't get him the faster nipple yet - I tried that too soon and Ryan's tummy was very uncomfortable. Even though he is 9 months old, I still have him on the #2 size nipple although I just bought some #4's to try - don't jump the nipple size too fast...he'll be better off.
