This question may have been asked to death but I'm not 100% clear - where do the outfits come from that I would wear in the photoshoot?

Bring your own outfits- I would think you can bring a few options and they can help you pick something out!
They may have some things that you can choose from, but I would suggest to bring your own.

Jenerations does fab work but her prices are very expensive!! But if u can afford it thats great. I am using Blondie Boudoir.

When I do B pics I'm going to use whatever wedding night/honeymoon lingerie I end up buying, and I'm also going to steal something of his - like one of his button downs - and have myself photographed like that, too. Guys always love girls in their clothes!

If you go to someone who has a really great portfolio, you will see how they can help you look amazing. They guide you as far as I know (I haven't done any yet!) and the right photographer will know how to work the shading, etc.
