Bouquet Toss and Garter Toss

Anyone doing this? My FI really wants to as he says it is tradition, but I did not plan on doing it. Who else is doing the bouquet toss and or garter toss? What songs are you using for this?

not sure of songs...

maybe for the garter, bad to bone or i'm to sexy.

I am doing the bo-k only. My FH is WAY to shy to grope me in public. Plus, we really don't have any single friends to catch the garter.

I'm doing both. I'm actually going to toss my real bouquet not a substitute and the real garter(seat and all). Haven't gotten to the music party yet but, I really like that I'm too sexy suggestion>>>

I never planned on doing the garter thing, and FH announces this weekend that he really wants to do it! So now, I dont know what to do!

FH thinks this is a lot of fun, and we always get stuck doing it at other weddings, so we will happily subject our friends to both

we're not doing either. Our friends are really not into it and my ultra conservative family would not handle the garter aspect well. we're getting married on my friend's 5th wedding anniversary, so we're going to give them a bouquet and wish them a happy anniversary and have the DJ play their wedding song....

I didn't want to do the garter toss but FH says it's tradition. Since we're the first of all our friends to get married it would be fun. I think for the bridal toss I'm using 'Wishing and Hoping'. For the garter toss, no clue.

We were up in the air on this one. FH wanted to do it b/c 'aren;t you supposed to?' but I didn;t really want to. We will have single girls there but mostly my BP and they don't want to be singled out like that (they are all over 30). The guys there aren't too many of. They will be mostly all married by then and the ones who aren't married probably wouldn't get up.

We decided to do the anniversary dance. We will still have FH take the garter off me. Then we will have the DJ announce that as an example of long marriage all couples who have been married 10 years or over should get up to dance (we did it this way b/c if we had ALL married couples it would again single out the single girls - which is what I wanted to avoid). He will ask couples to sit in increments of 5 years. The longest couple standing will get the BOK and garter.

He will then tell the man he muist put the garter on the woman. If all works out it will be my aunt and uncle who are hysterical!!! WHoever it is I'm sure it will be funny.

I'm not doing either. By the time my wedding comes around there would be like three single girls on the dance floor trying to catch the bouquet!! Besides, I always hate that moment at a wedding when I have to go up there, I think many people are uncomfortable up there.

Betty, we're thinking of doing the exact same thing. I think that would be something that would make the party unique and it would make his aunt and uncle very happy.
