Are you all doing this? I am undecided at this point. I have heard it is 'played' out and no one really does it anymore..is this true?

Re: Bouquet toss/Garter toss?
I'm not doing this, but I don't see anything wrong with it. All my guests are pretty much already married though.

Re: Bouquet toss/Garter toss?
I think it depends... do you have alot of single people coming?? I think it looks silly when there is like 3 people on the dance floor. you can do the anniversary dance instead.. thats becoming really popular.

Re: Bouquet toss/Garter toss?
i'm not doing either - i'm not doing the garter because i just plainly dont like it - i am not doing the bouquet toss because i just dont want to waste time - i dont want to have to have the band stop everyone from dancing and having fun - and make all teh single gals get up - i'd rather the dancing continue -
FH and i are doing a lot of things untraditional - we arent announcing the bridal party - they are coming in on their own - only FH and i are being announced - although not in a loud way - We also arent announcing teh cake cutting - we are goign to cut it - but on our own -

Re: Bouquet toss/Garter toss?
we are doing it, but inviting ALL men and ALL women, and whomever catches them, *wins* a dance with the groom and bride!! It gets everyone involved and doesn't single out the single people

I like that idea is cut too. I don't see anything wrong with doing the tosses. Nothing wrong with a little tradition. Besides it's something to entertain the guests..

I didn't want to, but FI was like - 'I gotta have some fun at this wedding!'
He was kidding. I think.

Re: Bouquet toss/Garter toss?
I'm not doing either. I know when I was single, I HATED having to be forced up on the dance floor!!! It was like, 'AWWWW...throw the poor little single girls something since they AIN'T GOT A MAN!!!'
We are going to do the anniversary dance & give the bo-k away to the longest married couple to honor them.

We're not doing it. We're doing the Longest Married Couple instead. It will add a little more time to our reception.
