Re: Bouquets after wedding day
I wanted to perserve a piece of it, but I'm not spending that money for flowers. Has anyone tried a powder that's suppose to perserve flowers? I think they sell it at Michael's.

You should FM Shamma - she preserved hers. I think she used this site: Keepsake Floral . I think you are the same day as I am and I know I have to MOVE on this if I decide to do it!

Re: Bouquets after wedding day
I am bringing it to my mom...She passes away 7 years ago and I want her to have it. I am going to leave it at the cemetery for her. I don't want to sound morbid, but since she cannot be with me on my wedding day(I know she will be in spirit)I want her to be somehow be able to enjoy them... It sounds a little silly...but I think if I leave at the cemetery, somehow they are closer to her.

Nanjoe, it is not morbid at all what you are doing. I will be doing the same thing. The day after the wedding we are going to put my bouquet on my father's grave and my throw bouquet we will put on my FH's father's grave.

I saw Teri put hers in a beautiful box where it dried out in, I will do the same. Michaels has them

Re: Bouquets after wedding day
I wish I put more thought into saving my bouquet! I just hung it upside down to dry...it didn't come out too nice, mine was an all white bouquet.
I saved a couple of the flowers that dried well, they are in my keepsake box.
Do a search to find out how Teri is displaying hers. She bought a glass and wood box and put the bouquet inside. It really looks great.
Nanjoe, what a nice gesture. Not morbid at all, just very, very thoughtful.

Re: Bouquets after wedding day
Thanks for your replies Ladies!! If only I had one wish,...it would be to have her and my dad here on my wedding day....I am such a emotional mush these past few days...with the wedding exactly 2 weeks from today...I can't stop thinking about them and how much I miss them. I know my mom would love the bouquet...she loved flowers!!! for all of you!!!

Re: Bouquets after wedding day
Nanjoe - I think that is a beautiful sentiment!
At the prices they're charging to preserve, I didn't think I'd be doing anything with it but throwing it out.
I'd love some info on that Michael's flower preservation box if anyone knows anything.
