Hi everyone! My fiancee and I are curious to know the cost of the Bourne for 2011. Can anyone give me some prices already paid? I am hearing that many wedding sites are negotiable with regard to price, to a point. I would like to know what that is. I love the photos you all have posted of your weddings! It looks as though the Bourne is a nice place to have a wedding. Both my father and mother have attended weddings there and they loved it. My fiancee and I were raised on LI, and we would like to have a north shore, Gatsby-inspired wedding. Although, I am not trying to have a 'theme' just perhaps 'the ambiance of...' Am I getting corny? probably We are looking to spend no more than $100 pp. I have been reading through the posts and it seems that you all know a lot about how to negotiate and save on extra cost. I could definitely use some advice from you ladies who have had your weddings or are planning to have your weddings at this location.
Here are the stats for our wedding:
~250 guests (we are inviting between 250-275) - its a big one!
We are looking at a wedding in the October through December months.
I truly appreciate all of your help and advice!!

I believe that in addition tot he cost pp there is a several thousand dollar site fee. There is a thread about how much people are spending on their reception hall. I will bump it up for you. It might be helpful.

The Bourne has pricing on their website. www.lessings.com. I am getting married there on a Saturday in October. While they are neg. to an extent, they definitely will not go down to $100pp. The site fee for a Saturday is $4500, and I think Fridays and SUndays are $4000. Try Coindre Hall and Timber Point, both are beautiful and are more reasonably priced.

We looked there for a Saturday and the price was something like $150 pp. We didn't really try to negotiate with them so I'm not sure how negotiable that was. Instead, we had to rule them out because we're expecting 275 people as well and the room would be maxed out, and some guests would be sitting in a separate alcove apart from the main room. Just an FYI that while they say they can accommodate 275 for a sit-down dinner, they use 2 rooms to do that. It's so gorgeous though so if you can cut your guest list at all definitely check it out!!
