Hi, I went to the Bourne Mansion today and loved it but I am concerned that there will not be enough space in the ballroom to fit 200 guests comfortably and have enough room for dancing. If anyone has any insight I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!

I've been to a wedding there that consisted of 185 and it seemed perfect.. 200 may be a tight squeeze. What date are you looking at there?

Thanks! They have a couple of dates open and today they were set up for 175 and it looked perfect but I got scared about having 200 guests. Did you enjoy the wedding? In the ballroon I noticed there is no carpet and the entire room is hard wood..was it hard walking in heels? I had flip flops on today

The wedding was a blast! Its a gorgeous place to have a wedding. The reason I ask what date your looking at is because my best friend got married there early November last year and it was tons of fun! Let me know what you decide.
P.s. the only downside of the Bourne I remember was that there are only 2 bathrooms and they were unisex - it was a little complicated but other then that it was great! :0)

Just so you know they added tons of bathrooms at the bourne. They now have the two in the front that are unisex, and the one in the back that is unisex. But they but in really night bathrooms to the left of the ballroom that have I think three stalls that they designate for women. Also, there is the bridal suite bathroom which we just had the bridal party use. We had absolutely no problem at all, and my family are hard core irish drinkers if you know what I mean :)! It worked out perfectly!

My cousin got married there in 2005 and had about 200 and it was def. more than enough room, I didn't feel like the dance floor was to tight or anything.
