Going to a wedding at the Bourne Mansion in Oakdale at 3pm today! I will be noticing every detail and have plenty of pics.... if anyone is interested

Ok girls, sorry it took me so long to post my review. I have a bunch of pics to add. The bourne mansion is beautiful. The service was great, the food was great. There was one major thing that I noticed. The ballroom has extremely high ceilings, and the dj echoed so badly at some points, that during the introductions etc you couldn't hear anything. I was told from another friend of mine (that is getting married there), that the dj has to know what they are doing, and they can prevent this from happening. FM me if you like to know what dj to stay away from....I really can't say anything else bad. The place is beautiful! here are some pics. FM if you have specific questions.
when i went there, they told me an outdoor ceremony was an absolute no...due to their religious affiliation, ceremony had to be indoors, in their ceremony room
everything looks really pretty!

My FH wasn't crazy about it at first... but we went through so much drama with finding a RH ( booked at t Atlantica -- they closed their doors... then the only other thing we liked was Oheka -- but they originally sent us the wrong contract -----) so I booked the bourne before he saw it -- he trusted me. His first impression was ' ummmm' but the more we walked through it the more he liked it and he was so happy that the stress of booking was over... plus the invites already went out

Just a little FYI for all future bourne mansion brides.
the outdoor ceremonies were banned untill we got permission...
We got permission from st johns and the diocese of rockville center to get it done. after us they made it policy... it took over two months of fighting and kissing buts but in the end it got done.. lol....
Your welcome to all future bourne mansion couples... and definatly worth it...
