Bourne vs Vanderbilt

This is my first time posting...These boards have been SUPER helpful in making some venue decisions thus far, so my FH and I have one last dilemma (hopefully) before making a final decision.

Would you choose a Friday night at Bourne Mansion over a Saturday night at Vanderbilt Mansion (the same weekend/time of year).

We loved Bourne so much, but a Saturday is a little more convenient. Do we choose our guests' convenience over the place we really love??? HELP!

I think it depends on how many guests you have. The Vanderbilt is very intimate because the ballroom is small and you can only invite up to 150 guests. but if you're having a larger guest count then the Bourne would be a great place. I went to a wedding at the Bourne and it was BEAUTIFUL! I wanted to have my wedding there too but the site fee was CRAZY i believe it was 4,000 so DH and I went to look at the Vanderbilt and feel in love with mansion, atmosphere and idea of a small intimate wedding.

I'm a little bias because I was married at the vanderbilt.

Good point...I saw your photos and that was one reason we wanted to see Vanderbilt! Jennifer and I were talking about your event!! We're looking at the same time of year.
