Hey ladies, so FH doesn't like flowers at all. He didn't wear a boutonniere for our prom and he really does not want to wear one for the wedding. I know if I ask him to he would wear it, but I really don't mind if he or any of the GM's don't wear them.
Do you think it would look bad if they didn't wear boutonnieres?

Re: boutonnieres?
why not do something else...like i've seen little branches or something to suit their personalities, like recently someone posted a picture with a little tennis racket since the gm was a huge tennis player....or maybe i saw that in a magazine.

As of now FH says he's not wearing one either and I'm ok with that, our florist is throwing them in as a just in case type of thing if he changes his mind. I could care less if FH wears one or not

ITA it doesn't have to be flowers, here are some examples......
not weird at all. i think they get crushed when people hug you and stuff. ill let FH decide for himself if he wants to wear one but i won't push if he doesn't.

FH doesn't want to wear one either. Since yellow is one of our colors, we are going to have a yellow handkerchief folded in all of the guys' front jacket pockets :).

If he really doesn't like flowers, don't make him do it.
Its not a big deal at all if guys dont wear bouts.

I agree. And I've heard they do get crushed once someone hugs the guy and I really don't want to hug him and have crushed flowers on my dress.
I figured I'm getting so many things I want for the wedding; he should be allowed to decide whether he wants to wear it or not. His sister was making a big deal about it, saying I should make him; but I don't think it's that big of a deal.
Thanks for all your replies ladies.
