So i'm looking at boxed invitations and every time I get a sample mailed to me the box looks like sh!t from the mail... they always have dents in them. I'm afraid to spend all this money on a box if its going to get crushed in the mail. The last thing I want is for someone to remark how crushed and ugly the box is b/c of the postal service and NOT say.... wow this is a really beautiful invite.... I know it will take away from it...
So my question.... Has anyone received a box invitation??? If so... what condition was it in and what were your thoughts?
TIA!!!!

Re: Boxed invitations
I haven't but everytime I think boxed invitations I always think of PreshusSmurf - an 07 bride. She did her own invitations and they were gorgeous! Maybe you can fm her for a recommendation or check her review and it might name where she got her materals from.
i am doing boxed invites and if you go to papermart.com. they have boxes for $0.80 a box!
i never got one in the mail, but eevrything looks like sh#$ after it goes through the mail!

Re: Boxed invitations
ya know... the post office is hit or miss... ive gotten things before that were labeled fragile and they still came either broken or look like they've been hit by a mac truck... its horrible... if you think about it, a reg envelope can come damaged beyond belief ... so i think any boxed invite is better than a reg invite... i dont think people will look at it and think its ugly... speaking for myself, ive never recieve a boxed invite and the novelty alone would make me feel like a couldnt care less how the box actually arrived... make any sense?

Re: Boxed invitations
I received a box invitation. My friend did a scroll and her box wasn't a typical box, it was long and rectangular and had almost like an envelope (it was very structured) that it was held in. I think when doing a box you need to put the box inside of something or it will get damaged. Hers all came out in perfect condition.

I got one...to tell you the truth...I didn't pay much attention to the condition of the box (which I guess means it couldn't have been a mess b/c I would have noticed).....but I remember the actual invite was GORGEOUS.

you can always just hand deliver them.. i agree about finding a box in a box, just have to find a good sturdy box. i'm getting seal and send invites so i 'technically' could put them in the mail with an address and stamp, but i don't want them to get ruined, so i understand where you are coming from.

Re: Boxed invitations
I did boxed invitations. Mostly it was ok, i had about 3 come back bc of wrong address lol and they all came back in good condition to me which i was glad to see. I even asked ppl i know if anything happened to them and also saw my friends or IL's invites when they received them. I know of just 1 box that was dented a little bit in the corner but not bad at all. Hey and if they do its ok bc they know you didnt send it that way, they still pay attention to the invite itself bc thats the part that is all you

OK good. This makes me feel much better! I dont know why but the 3 samples for 3 different places all got the sh!t kicked out of them so it really worried me. But so far everyone is saying its fine.

I have received (2) boxed sample invites and you are right they do come crushed. I'm trying to find a way to send them without having this problem.

Re: Boxed invitations
This was a concern of mine which is why i decided to go with th elong structured nvelope type thing which everyone said when they received it that it was in perfect condition. My sisters said so as well. Thank god! I even waited to mail them to make sure for weather purposes. i didnt want them going out in the rain! lol lol I know im nuts but hey its like all your work finally done u want people to receive them perfect. I guess a more structured box in a box. Or fedex them hahahahaha. What about hand deliver lol lol Now im getting nuts! lol

I received them boxed and I didn't have any problems!!!! However when you send your invites out you may want to have them hand canceled!

Re: Boxed invitations
Hi Espo & Barbie- who would you recommend for invitations?
I contacted Tessa but she has a LONG waiting list and I am speaking with Fleur Creations and going over ideas...any other recommendations?

Re: Boxed invitations
My invites are boxed. They are made out of a more flexible paper though so they kind of spring back to shape if that makes sense. I hope you find something!! GL

just know that some will get crushed here and there, although none that i know of were completely crushed, more like the corner of a box pushed ina little or something like that. But otherwise the invites inside stayed fine, and like i said nobody will blame the box on you and will still see how beautiful your invite is.
With my invites i couldnt really put them in an envelope bc they had a rhinestone buckle, and when you have a rhinestone buckle then dont even worry about a box bc same way a box can get crushed, the envelopes also can easily get ripped and stuff IF you have a rhinestone buckle. Thats why i decided on the box after many ppl on here saying they got invites with rhinestones in an envelope and got messed up or ppl they knew sent them out like that and the invite got messed up so either way you have to worry. And at least with the box, only the box gets messed up ya know rather than the invite itself. ENvelopes HAVE to go through a machine, the boxes dont go through any machines
