BOY CRASHES CAR INTO A HOUSE IN SAYVILLE!

A 15-year-old boy who was allegedly driving while intoxicated failed to negotiate a turn in Sayville and crashed into a house, Suffolk County police said yesterday.

They said a 2000 BMW smashed into a home at 190 Loop Dr. about 10 p.m. Saturday. The driver fled the scene, leaving two injured juvenile passengers. They were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The boy was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident with physical injury. He was released to his parents' custody and is to appear in Family Court at a later date.

My parents used to hide their keys on the remote chance we would try that one day when we were younger. When they went to bed, those keys were in that bedroom somewhere!! Nowadays, people really underestimate what there kids are capable of!! There is always that mother saying, oh my kid will never do anything like that, and then one day it is their kid!! Some parents, not all, but some parents really have to wake up!! Although the kid was a real jack@ss for doing this, and should definitely be held accountable for his actions, I think the parents should also be held accountable!!

And now he should go to jail for life. Thank god no one was killed.

Yes this is a crazy story,and I do beleive he should be punished but not for life

That is horrible! I hope the other kids are ok and the poor people who's house is damaged (unfortunately from personal experience I can relate!).

Holy Cow! This happened right in my neighborhood, and on my brother-in-law's street! Scary! Stupid kid...

Allure. I understand why u say that he should be punished but not for life. And u are right. The kid shouldn't get life cause he didnt kill anyone. I have a friend that was killed by a drunk driver. And those people never even went to Jail. I believe if u drink in drive u should sit ure a$$ in Jail for a few years. If you drink and drive and kill someone u should get life but instead these people get away with it they walk away uninjured and go back and be with their families! It just makes me Sick when I hear a story like this. This kid is headed down the wrong road and probably will continue to do this when he gets older.
