bp dilema and advice request

Hey ladies. A situation just came up and I need advice.

Fh has his best friend as one of his gm. I have his wife as a bm. She and I are sort of friends, the main connection being her husband.

They married 6 months ago. They are now done, she said things to gm that fh finds unforgivable and wants nothing to do with her, doesn't want her at the wedding. She has spoken to me once in those 6 months after I was in her bp.

Do I ask her to step out, leave her in and make fh and gm uncomfortable at the wedding, or wait it out?

I would talk to her. She may want to bow out herself.

I'm confused - did they just recently divorce?
I'd send her an email - if you haven't talked to her in 6 months whats the sense of having her in the bp...

I would definitely tell her that since the circumstances have changed...maybe its best to gracefully bow out and focus on working on or handling her own relationship....if she bought a dress already I would offer to reimburse her for it though. JMO

If you havent heard from her, she may assume she isnt in it. I would definitely ask her to bow out

I agree. This girl has bigger problems with her marriage falling apart and probably be more than happy to bow out.

ITA. she would probably want to bow out herself. I would talk to her and most likely she would not want to be in such an uncomfortable situation.

I´m a coward so I would do email!! But I agree with everyone on talking to her because more than likely she won´t want to be in it. Even if she does, I would not have her in it. You aren´t really friends and you haven´t spoken in 6 months.

If they are already in such a bad space and saying hurtful things, imagine when they´re ina situation where they are getting drunk. You don´t want unnecessary drama at your wedding.

That being said you have to feel out how bad the situation is. You may want to take a little time before deciding in case they work it out. (only you would know how bad the situation actually is) Although overall my feeling is she shouldn´t be in the bridal party. If they work it out, she could go to the wedding.

I would sit down and talk to her and tell her that you realize it would be ackward for her to be at the wedding and that since you guys spoke once in 6 months you think it would be best for all if she was no longer your MOH.

She may feel relieved that you are letting her go. I know if I were in her case I wouldn't want to be in a bridal party with an ex husband.
