Going with my MOH to Bridal Suite of Bayshore in 28 minutes!!! I'm bringing my camera, so hopefully I'll have some worthwhile photos to put up! Wish me luck.

NOT THRILLED W/THE DRESSES OR THE SERVICE.
Im so blah about it that I had to use caps. Eh dress, terrible service. I'm so surprised, b/c I also got my dress at bridal suite of bayshore, but tonite they were really lax.

That's too bad. I went dress shopping there for myself, and while I didn't find the gown for me, I thought the shop was really nice and the service was good, and was planning on taking my BMs there in a few months. Why was it so bad? Was the selection small, or were the people rude?

Well, like I said, I already ordered my dress and veil from there, and I was thrilled w/the customer svc (I worked with mary ellen last time)
I called the other day to make an appt for tonite. First I called to make sure they had Alfred Angelo BM dresses, and I was told they were. I called back later to make an appt, and I spoke w/a different girl; she was rude; I asked if it would be ok if I tried on *my* dress again so I could show my MOH, she got huffy and told me that I couldnt b/c my dress was in storage. What?!? First of all, she didnt even ask my name. Second, I only ordered my dress a few weeks ago, so it certainly isnt in storage yet. Regardless, I told her that I meant the floor sample, and she said 'well, yeah I guess if its still here you can try it on.' Whatever. I took the appointment anyway. We showed up tonite a little before 7 (our appt time) and first the receptionist ignored me; finally I said 'excuse me, but we have an appt' and she took my name, and told us to wait in the BM section. Well, we waited 30 min, and no one came, so we started just trying on dresses on our own. Now, I can SEE them all (three girls) in the office just sitting there! Finally, at 7:40, some other girl came over and asked if we needed help. I told her 'well, we had a 7pm appt, we were told to wait, but no one ever came so we just started taking dresses ourselves.' She said 'ok, well if you need help let me know.' ?!?!? Gee thanks!!!! We didnt see much we liked - it was like 678 versions of the same strapless dress in different colors. ANNNNNNDDDDD they didnt even have ONE Alfred Angelo dress, which is specificially what I went for!!! Very disappointing.

wow im so sorry you had such a bad experience tonight, I would just stick to the woman you worked with before so you know you will receive better service for when you go for your fittings!

ARG! why are bridal shop people so sucky?? you'd think they'd be nice and what not considering how much money a bridal party usually drops on dresses....

well it's true, you've got PLENTY of time. I've heard bridesmaid dresses take like no time at all.
but i don't think it's TOO early. unless one of your bm's is planning on getting pregnant or you wanna wait for the next line of dresses to come out b/c you probobly could with your date

That's funny you mentioned this, b/c I had a very similiar experience there. The first time I was there it was great...I tried on a Maggie dress loved it but it was really early in my search so I didn't pull the trigger on it. (mind you I also got my prom dress there yrs ago) so I thought I'd definately give them business again. I went again to try the Maggie dress and my appointment was at 4:30. I didn't get anyone to pay any attention to me until 5 (AND no one was in the store it's not like they were busy or anything) than I hear one of the sales lady's YELLING at a customer over the phone that no she can't change anything / alterations on her dress. That put me off rt there...than when I finally went to try on my dress, she wouldn't let me try on any other dresses...she's like no that's not for you. AND to top it off they started vacuuming so my Mom and I just left they were so rude! AND they lost a good customer b/c I was seriously going to buy my dress there and my BM's dresses....oh well
