BP entrance song

i am having a hard time deciding on this.
I really want something different

What do you all think about Shiny Happy People by REM? Too Corney??

Thoughts?

I think you should pick a song that you like and that may have meaning for you, rather than a song that is more cliche. For example I walked into 'Let's Get it Started' by the Black Eyed Peas for the wedding I was in last weekend... so cliche... lol. Personally, I don't know if too many people are listening anyways, especially with the MC talking over the track.
Don't worryabout corny-ness, do what you want!

i've been going back and forth with a few songs Shipping Up to Boston - Dropkick Murphys is one of the songs i'm thinking about...

I love when the BP walks into the RH and does crazy stuff like dance or whatever... and I want to have a song that will allow them to dance...

all the guys in my sister BP had a tshirt made up with her DH's pic on it when he was like 10 years old... and they took off their tux's and showed the shirts!! None of us knew what was going on... until we started walking out... and it was great!

everybody wants to be pumped up IMO. weddings are a happy exciting party. But u should do the song that u like. and for the record, I dont think that REM's song is corny. makes me happy when I hear it

Haha, I hear you about the guests being over 50. I'm 28 and we have a decent amount of 'younger' guests but I always keep in mind a good amount of people at the wedding will be 50+. They're going to feel really out of the loop if black eyed peas or jay z is playing. I'm planning to try to use something a little more timeless and I had thought of something but I forgot it!
