So today was my shower and while I was talking with one of my bridesmaids I noticed the necklace she was wearing looks exactly like the ones I got for all of my girls! Now what am I supposed to do? I don't want to give it to her knowing she wont use it. I dont know if I'd be able to exchange it and even if I could then won't it be weird that she's getting something different then the rest? Help!

It's a gift from you for being in your BP. If she has something similar OH WELL!!!!!!! Sorry but that's just my opinion. My BM has the best of the best in purses and jewlery. I'm sure she has something similar to what I'm getting them, but she'll love it cause I gave it to her for my special day.

Honestly I'd probably give her the necklace anyway. You don't know that she won't wear it, even though she already has one that's similar. At least it reassures you that what you got for her is something she will like. I don't think you should have to go out & get her something different now.

How similar is it? Do you have one? If not then you can keep it and give her something else and just explain that you noticed you had the same necklace at the shower.

hhmm- if its very similar, I would see if it could eb exchanged and when she has something different, just explain that you noticed she had one already. If its sorta different, I wouldnt worry about it and just give it to her.

Is it the neclace you want all your BMs to wear? I would still give it to her then..if you don't what if she doesn't have the one you saw at your shower, on your wedding day? I would also take her aside and explain to her that you know she owns something similar and that you hope she still likes it, etc. (if worse comes to worse, she now has a backup neclace...lol).

I would definitely give it to her rather than buying another gift. Who knows, maybe the one she was wearing at the shower was one she borrowed from someone. I'm sure she'll wear the one you give her to your wedding. After that, if she chooses to keep it, or maybe give it away, it shouldn't be a big deal.
