BP Gift Help!

For the GM we purchased really nice pocket watches from Things Remembered...we had them engraved with their initials, 'groomsman' and 'july 18, 2010'...they really came out beautifully.

For our BM we got a combo flask/cigar holder which was supposed to be engraved on a little silver plaque with his initials. We just received it in the mail today...come to find out the plaque is a separate thing that we have to adhere ourselves! We put it on and it didn't really seem like it was going to stay on...and I'd be MORTIFIED if this thing came off. We can get crazy glue and fix it...but the other issue is that this thing is A LOT bigger than I thought it would be. I guess it never occurred to me the size of a cigar...but the flask is large, heavy and unweildy.

I figure we have 3 options:

A) Just give our BM the flask and hope he likes it
B) Cough up the extra money and buy our BM a pocket watch and give him both
C) Pretend we never bought the flask and just get him a pocket watch

Keep in mind that the entire BP is receiving flip cams as their main present from us...which is definitely a big thing.

What would you do??? The money isn't the issue...I'm just confused. I'm leaning towards B but apparently being 24 days out from the wedding makes me indecisive about everything.

give him the flask (w/o engraving) for his bday

engrave the pocketwatch with 'best man'

i wouldn't give him anything i was potentially embarrassed by. i would try the crazy glue, but if it didn't work then i'd get him the pocketwatch and ignore the flask.

Did you get the flask with the cigar holder in the black case that comes with the cutter? I think that you can give it to him without the engraving. I like that flask (it's black leather, right?). Don't get him the pocket watch. If you want to personalize the gift - get him cigars that he likes to go with it.

Its a flask/cigar holder in one. We didn't get it from Things Remembered...I ordered of some random website and did it quickly so I didn't check into reviews. I'm just angry because they didn't say anything about the engraving being that way. I think I might just take that stupid plaque off and give it to him for his birthday.
