BP Gifts

BP Gifts

I would like to start shopping for my BP gifts... I have a decent amount of people to shop for so I don't want to wait until the last minute. There are 8 guys and 6 girls... I was thinking about getting Coach bags for the girls when the outlets have their insane holiday sales but is that overdone at this point? I mean I don't think these girls are in weddings all of the time and getting Coach bags as gifts but is it not original enough?

And for the guys I am totally lost... someone on here had mentioned getting Burberry ties for the guys and I thought that was great but FH said although my 2 guy friends and 2 brothers would love it, his guys are more laid back and down to earth and probably not even realize what the heck Burberry was (GASP!!!!!)

So what are you guys doing and about how much are you spending per person? Are you getting something special for your MOH and BM?

Re: BP Gifts

I have gotten my bm's their day of jewelry(in the process of buying necklaces), tank tops for getting ready on the day of, flip flops, tote bags with their initials, and going to also get them Coach wristlets. I don't have a MOH just 3 BM's so they are all getting the same gifts. As for my groomsmen i don't know yet. I spent like around $100 on each.

For the more laid-back guys, try Sandisk USB drive or Sanyo MP3 players. They're really affordable about $30-$40. For my MOH & BM's, I got them jewelry- Givenchy necklaces & bracelets. For GM, poker card sets. I def understand that it can be difficult to shop for guys esp when it's the usual gifts: watches, ties, cufflinks, etc. I norm shop by finding out their interest or hobby so that it makes it easier and they get a gift that they can use again.

Re: BP Gifts

We had 7 BM and 7 GM.

Got the girls:
*monogrammed canvas zipper totes from Lands End (different color and font for each girl)
*pearl necklace and earrings DOJ from Overstock.com
*shawls for their bridesmaid dresses which were strapless.
*pedicure sets from Bass Outlet (had slippers, toe separators, and pots of foot scrub, foot soak, and foot lotion).

Gave my MOH a SailBag instead of the canvas tote.

Spent approx $100 on each girl (more on the MOH)

For the guys:
*monogrammed stainless lighter and flask set from Mens Wearhouse gifts.

Gave the Best Man the monogrammed set plus a personalized 'Pub' sign (his last name with an Est. Date since he was engaged to get married the following year).

Spent approx $40 on each guy (more on the BM).

GL!

eta, forgot abt the pedicure sets.

Re: BP Gifts

ok guys are so hard to get for- i racked my brain for FH and its like all the guys always get the same thing....
so we were trying to think outside the box:
FH got his guys these valet stations that i realyl think they will USE- its a place to plug in everything- cell phone, ipod, etc...

then i just saw the grill set (not all of FH's friends have a house) but i think every guy loves to grill and you can personalize the case-
i even saw a grill BRANDER where you can put their initials and then they can brand their own steak- i think thats hysterical!!!

I'm not up to this part (or like.. ANY PART) of planning yet lol--- however, I do plan on getting the MOHs something extra, and I believe FH plans on getting the BMs something extra. We're paying for the BP's hotel accommodations, if we weren't I'd probably spend around $100 each; however, it will probably be a little less.

Re: BP Gifts

I have 7 girls. So far I've bought the following:

Tote Bag
Makeup brush kit (for BM's)
Bath and body set (for MOH's)
Makeup case
Isotoners ballet slippers for day of
Jewelry Pouches

I still want to buy them DOJ, and maybe robes.

My FH is buying his GM's watches. Also for my MOH's and FSIL (one of my BM's), I was thinking of taking them for a spa day.

ETA: on actual material gifts, I'm looking to spend around $100. I've been getting great deals on a lot of this stuff, so it's definitely feasible. Obviously I'll be paying more for those for the spa day though.

ETA: I forgot, I also bought each girl a double picture frame so that I can put an old pic of us in one side, and leave the other empty for a wedding pic. Each of my girls I've known for over 10 years, so it'll be very sentimental.

Random FYI for BM gifts-- Victoria's Secret is havivng its semi-annual sale in mid-June and that's a great add on for the girls for main gifts-- love all their beauty products, makeup and especially their pink pjs!!! Also their flip flops are now on sale for $10-- hope that's helpful info!

If I start buying now, I prob won't stop. I am def giving them their DOJ, and make-up. I plan to shop the outlets...but will also be buying each lady a personalized wood frame and inserting a pic of just me with each BM alone. The guys, not quite sure. Two are not hge sports fans. One is. FH is leaning towards a nice watch for each of them...keeping my eyes open for deals now. Checking outlets, Century 21 and Burlington Coat Factory.

Re: BP Gifts

I keep buying things!!! But here's what I've gotten:

BM's:
3 Large Victoria'a Secret Tote Bags filled with samples
Day of Jewlery
Day of Shoes
Body Lotion
Body Spray
-Also looking to buy a nice coach bag, not just a wristlet since I have a nice hook up at a coach store and I get a good discount and I happen to know they all have several
Also paying for their hair & day before mani/pedis
(so far)

Best Men:
Engraved Swiss Army Knife/Money Clip Combo
(so far)

Junior Groomsmen/Ushers:
Paying for their Rentals & probably getting engraved zippo lighters since they've picked up some nasty, disgusting habits

Flower Girl:
She's really little (just under 16 months) at the time of the wedding so most gifts she can't appreciate. I went to build a bear and made her a bear that had a flowered print all over it & then they had this accessory which made the bear hold a bq of flowers and that's for her!

Re: BP Gifts

Went to fortunoff one day and they a ridiculous amount of vera bradley bags like 40% off!
so i picked up each of my girls one of those!
my color is tiffany blue, and they had a really pretty teal colored pattern.
Im also getting them Swarovski Crystal jewelry set to put in the bag, as well as extra stuff like picture frame, and other stuff they will need for the day of the wedding..

my brother got married last year and my sister in law did almost the same thing, but she included little hankercheifs with our initials put on them, as well as wedge flip flops to match our dresses so we would be comfy to dance all night long! they were awesome!
