BP, help

BP, help

Ok well I sent out 'Will you be my bridesmaid cards'. I sent them to FH's two sisters. One is 17 the other is 28. The 28 year old did not get back to me and i know she got the card. She called my Fh and said I hope michelle isn't doing this just to do it and that she really wants me in it.

Its a tricky situation b/c his sister lives in San Fran and before that was in Hawaii. I have only met her 3 times. I want her in the wedding but I don't know what the deal is here. FH says it could be b/c she feels awkward b/c she isn't engaged or even dating anyone, or b/c she doesn't have money. The girl is working at a cafe and going to school full time. I don't understand the money issues b/c I and my MOH understand that she cannot come to the bachlorette party or shower. MOH wasn't going to even ask her to give money. What else she supposed to pay for. How should I approach her b/c she hasn't called me yet!

well you might want to call her so she knows you that you actually want here to be part of your day.

i've heard of people giving cards, but usually in person, so maybe she just feels like she needs to hear from you...

Call her. Say something like 'It's important for me to have my family in the BP and on my wedding day you become my family. It would mean a lot to your brother and me if you would be in the BP. I'm looking forward to planning the wedding and I think it would be great to have my two FSILs involved.'

I agree

My FSIL is like this too the extreme that we dont get along (shes my bros fiance) because she just takes this crap waaaaaaaay too far. I begged and begged and begged and excuse after excuse with her until i was just like forget it!

I think she might feel that youre only asking her bc shes Fhs sister and I know some ppl feel obligated to ask. I asked FSIL and we dont speak at all! But i felt I had to!

Too bad if she doesnt like the phone...Calling her should show her that YOU really want her....tell her... I hope you like the card I sent you!! Id really like you in the wedding!! Seems like she might be insecure about it. Hopefully she comes around. I just think you guys need to talk, so she can be reassured you like her. The ice needs to break for you guys to develop more of a relationship, and I know it might be hard bc of the distance, but theres email and phone and you can connect via wedding planning and looking and no money...I know moneys a sore spot w some girls. They are afraid that the bride might be mad that they cant afford everything. Just laugh it off and tell her the important thing is having her be a part of your wedding day!

you have no idea I found three of them at Roosevelt Field. They ran out I went to a million more Papyrus Stores (all over VA and NYC) I finally gave in and ordered them online. Seriously I ran all over for them. I put a lot of thought into what I wrote as well
