So I arranged for Hair and Makeup to come to the hotel where I am getting ready. I sent out a text message to all of my girls to let them know that if they were interested it was available to them and that it was $80 for the hair and $100 for makeup if they decided to use them, but of course they could go elsewhere. Well some of the girls were so excited and happy that I set it up (one less thing for them to worry about and the others were annoyed at the price mainly for the hair (most of them weren't getting their makeup done anyways). They think that it is too much for an updo.
What are you doing about your BM's Hair and Makeup? Did you make arrangements for them? Are you making them get both done? Roughly how much is costing for hair and for Makeup?

I just told everyone If they want to go with me they are more then welcome if they dont want to come with me they have to be at my house by 12:00 for pictures other that they can do what they want.. Most of my Girls are PICKY and want there own hair person ..

I'm lucky that one of my sisters is really good with hair and make-up and she is doing mine and my MOH's.
I don't think $80 is a bad price for an up-do, it can be very time consuming, but I am totally blown away by the $100 for the make-up!!!! I had no idea it was that expensive - or is that for both hair and make-up???

nope that is for makeup only. I do think it is a little high, but I loved her for myself and figured I would put it out there if anyone else wanted to use her. I did not expect really anyone to use her though.

I'm letting them do whatever they want. One BM is a makeup artist so I trust her to do her own. The other BM has a makeup artist friend who is doing hers. The third BM is getting her makeup done with me. As far as hair, since I am not doing an updo, I don't want them with updos. I gave them pics of hair ideas and told them to be at the church at 2pm.

My girls had the same option- to use my people. But honestly, I think it is alot for them to pay $180 for hair & makeup. So I got a friend that is a semi-professional MU artist to come & do their MU for $25 per girl. This is if they choose to.
As far as hair, if they choose not to use my vendor, they can do whatever they want. I'm not being picky w/ their hair, as long as it looks nice, they can do what they want.

I just told them that I had someone coming to do hair and make-up and if they wanted to they could get theirs done too, and I told them how much. If they want to they can, if not, no big deal. They just needed to let me know.

All (makeup & hair) was optional to my girls. 4 out of 5 BM's wanted hair. So, I booked someone to come to the hotel. Me, 4 BM & 2 moms (hair) $500

I did this too. One girl is getting her hair and makeup done by her own girl and the other BM is coming with me my sister and mom.

My sister has left it up to each BM. Most girls are picky about who does their hair, I know I am picky, so they will probably go to the person they prefer. We have a person doing the makeup and can arrange to have it done if they want. Right now I think its my sister, my mother, 1 of the BM and myself getting the makeup done by the artist.

i gotta say the price for hair--is good...but the make up price---that is HIGH IMO for BMs!
$80 was about what the girl's hair cost for my girls, but the make-up was only $65 (and that was for her to come to the hotel), i think $100 for makeup is very high.
to off-set costs, i paid for the makeup for everyone (BM, MOH, MOG,MOB) and they paid for their hair.
