BP vent

i feel like my bridal party is slacking............ every time i try to plan the bachelorette party every one has a different excuse. this one can't do this. this one can't do this. then a few of my other friends are down to do whatever whenever. i understand people have their own lives but this is getting ridiculous. i am starting to feel like i don't even want a bachelorette party anymore. UGH!!!!!

OK, I'm done. just needed to vent.

they need to get over it and plan it end of story...they know whats involved especially if your asked to be a bm ***...i dont get why people are so selfish....

Maybe they are throwing you off because they wanna plan it?

I have an OOT BP so I understand your frustration. My BP is also on a tight budget. I am perfectly okay with not having one, because I'd rather not have it be half-a**

Hope they whip their tooshies into shape to throw you a wonderful bachelorette party.

thanks ladies. at first i was told it was going to be a surprise. but last month - my MOH asked me what i wanted to do & she thought it was better i planned it.

sooooooooo, i feel like now every time i bring it up it's a different excuse. first it was vegas then we decided miami. now it's changed once again.

and i know what's going to happen. we are going to end up going to AC. nothing against AC - I just don't wanna do it there. oh well.

i think i am just going to send out an email and say - you guys can plan it. i will show up! cause this is annoying.

Aww I'm sorry your going through this with your BP If it makes you feel any better my wedding is before yours and my bach party still isn't planned lol. I understand how fustrating it can be when things aren't in your control, but what can you do. Just relax and I'm sure they will come up with something.

i don't understand why everyone has such a problem with this! i feel like this happens to alot of brides and its so unfair!
if it comes down to it, plan it and those w ho want to be there, will be and it will go to show who really cares for you

But as much as i would have wanted to go away I have to understand that not everyone really has the money right now to do a weekend away somewhere in Vegas or Miami. My best friend is getting married 9/24 and her sis was planning one in Miami...and it would have been like at least an $800-$1000 weekend. With my own wedding I couldn't afford it, and felt really bad that I couldn't go since we are close. Turns out her sister may be replanning it because alot of people couldn't go due to the cost. It sucks but some people barley have extra money. So this is why I even went from a weekend in AC to a night there so I didn't over extend people's pockets.

with so much going on, we could never come up with a good time for a bachelorette party, so i just let it go. then a few weeks before my wedding, my sisters said that the BP would be taking me out after our rehearsal dinner (yep, the night before my wedding day!!!) and by then, i was just so happy that we did *some*thing. obviously, it wasn't a wild & crazy night, but i wasn't complaining... just wanted to be out with the girls. hope you get your night, too!

Honestly I had the same issue. I ended up taking matters into my own hands and planning where I wanted to go. I chose two different dates and got pricing for Cancun and sent out an email to everyone. Not everyone could go, which is understandable, but I still have a nice crew going with me

The rest of the girls are planning a night out locally the weekend my FH will be in Cancun for his BP

This is a once in a lifetime, and most likely the last time vacationing with the girls, do what you want to do.

LOL that's exactly what happened to me! I wanted to go to PR, but we couldn't find a good date and flights were expensive, etc.. then it was Boston, then Ocean City, and guess where we're ending up going... good old AC! I'm actually really excited though b/c we're going to the NKOTBSB concert!!

Somebody needs to tell Joey McIntyre this is his last chance to make a move before I'm officially off the market!

OMG! you sound just like me! I know I am going to end up in AC. I guess it's not that bad.. I know where ever we go it's gonna be a blast! I just feel like I have been to AC 100 times (been there done that) I wanted something different for my last Hoorah. Oh well!

You are so funny! Love Joey! Have you seen them recently? I saw them last June they weren't touring with BSB but it was around the time they announced it so the BSB showed up.... Joey got a little down & dirty. He sang Twisted - half naked!

hey girl - we were just chatting on FB LOL... you are 100% right. It's hard for me to just think about myself and make people spend money they don't have. I really want everyone to be able to come..I decided that it would be best to do a road trip. so i thought of ocean city MD but now it's like everyone can't make themselves free for a weekend in late august. UGH!!!!! I will probably do what you did and just plan one night in AC, not even a weekend.
