Have any of you gone for a bra fitting? If so, where and what was it like? Who did you work with? I'm looking for recommendations. Price is somewhat a factor but my gals need the help and I'm willing to splurge a tad. Thanks

Re: BRA
Blum' ins Patchogue is where I got mine and got fitted. Bring a pic of ur dress or at least describe it so they can get a bra for you that will fit with your dress and not stick out! I didn't even think of that until they asked me!

I second that! It may look like an old lady store (sorry), but the women know about bras and have it all! The prices aren't bad.
Sweet Lace is a bit expensive(since you said you were looking to save) and have a limited amount of sizes. They do have nice things though.
My bra was 125.00 and I can't even use it. It shows on the dress. I went to Georgeettes and it was 65.00. Different brand though.
HTH!

Re: BRA
I went to Georgettes in Hicksville today. Phyllis helped me. She suggested a long-line, which I really didn't want because I thought it would be uncomfortable. She gave me a bra to try on...and it wasn't uncomfortable at all...

Re: BRA
All great suggestions ladies but I think perhaps I should have been a tad more specific...what I meant was a fitting for a bra(s) for me to wear during everyday life. I wanted a place which would not only size me but also help me find bras to lift up my gals.

Re: BRA
I am going to Blum's...however, does anyone know whether the size you take normally is completely different from that in a long line bra? Also, do they still make corsets or bras that will suck you in? I need help!!!!

2 years ago I purchased a corset that lifted the gals up and also flattened out my mid region for my best friends wedding. If memory serves me correctly I do believe it was larger in both the # & cup size. I'll never use it again...FM with your size maybe I can help ya out.

Re: BRA
the lingerie dept. of any reputable dept. store should be able to help you with this. I just had one myself....they measure you, tell you your size, and explain where the size is derived from. THey'll also recommend certain brands that work with your body style.

I went to Georgette's and worked with Georgette herself! What a sweet and wonderfully knowledgeable woman. I have a very hourglass shape and she would not stop until she found the right long line bra for me!! Go there and see her!! And my bra was only $55!

Re: BRA
Thanks! I learned at a bra place that I cannot wear Cosabella or La Perla...I need something to push them up and forward! But that is all I learned so far!

Re: BRA
Ok Georgette's it is as per Jen& Gabi's suggestion. I went to Lord & Taylor & the sales lady was recommending bras that looked sexy but did nothing in lifting up my chickas.
