Brag time: what was the sweetest thing fh ever did for you?
I started thinking about all the wonderful things fh has done for me (in such a short time, I might add). The list was so long I began to get teary eyed.
1. When my dad passed away he was so supportive and helped me every step of the way.
2. He has made so many sacrifices so that we could be together.
3. He treats my mother (who is ill) so well and makes her feel special.
4. 2 weeks ago we finally decided on an enagement ring and even though I tried to convince him not to get that particular one because it was over $4,000 out of his original budget- he said 'if this will add to your happiness and look beautiful on your finger and remind you of me when we are apart, it's yours.'
5. When we first started dating (before any marriage talk), I went to visit his fam in VA and his 9 yr. old little sister pulls me aside and says, 'I saw Jim's journal and he wrote that he's marrying you! But, don't tell him I told you, ok?'

One time, I was bored in class so I doodled a pic of a boy and girl standing under a tree in my notebook. I went over FH's house that night and I guess he found it while I was in the bathroom or something, because the next day, the boy and girl were holding hands and there was a heart on top of them with I love you written inside. It was so sweet! I still have the pic.

There are many but I would have to say the day he proposed. Part of his proposal was that he had made a list of all of our 'favorite times' together - in his eyes. Like when we closed on our house, Fox woods, ranger game, first time he met my family, etc.
The fact that he actually wrote everything down on a piece of paper was just so sweet.

It sounds morbid, but was there for me when my mom was dying. I will never forget that. He took me to the cemetery to buy a plot, took me to the funeral home to make the pre-arrangements. My mom died at home, and he came over right away to help me with the phone calls and dealing with EMS, police, and the funeral director. The most touching part was when he hugged my dad after everything was done, and my dad leaned in and hugged him back. (Tearing up as I type this). He was at my side for the entire ordeal.
Just sad that he never really got to know my mom. We had been dating for about a year and half when she died, and she was sick for all of that time.

My fh never ceases to amaze me at ways he comes up with to be what we would say is 'sweet'
I remember our first valentines day - he did a whole fake bouquet of roses in a vase and all with a card that read - 'Like our Love these Roses will never die.' He never misses a dance competition or rectial of mine,,,,, and is totally my students biggest cheerleader.... and of course - they way he proposed.... In front of Cinderellas Castle....
I am so lucky as Im sure all you girls feel about your guys!

there isn't just 1 thing that sticks out in my head...it's more the little things he does all the time.
When I'm having a bad day he'll let me vent all I want then give me a big hug when I'm done. his hugs make it all better.
He pays attention to the little things. He remembers details about dates we've had or special times.
he buys me sweet cards 'just because'

Yes, that he is. It is his nature, the first to offer help in any way possible. He's done other things, like surprise me with flower deliveries at work. But being there when I really needed him was the best thing he could have ever done for me. Now, I am returning the favor because his mom was diagnosed with cancer shortly after my mom died. He gets overwhelmed with dealing with her being sick and all of the problems that go with it. As an only child, a lot of the burden falls on him. Having gone thru all of this myself, I stepped in to help out whatever way I can. I have power of attorney for his mom, which makes things so much easier.
Together we are a really great partnership, what a good marriage should be about.
