Brand new to LI weddings

Hello 2008 brides, and congratulations! I just registered on LI weddings today so I'm brand new to this and am trying to navigate my way through. Hopefully I'm posting a new thread which is what I was aiming for, lol. I'm getting married next July at the Three Village Inn, and I'm currently checking out photographers, DJ's and florists. Any suggestions or ideas? So far I think my top choices are North Island Photography and Get In Tune DJ's. Anyways, I'm going to continue trying to figure this website out, but I just wanted to say hi to everyone!

welcome and congrats..as for photographers definately check out duet, velvet and patken..great prices and their pics are gorgeous!

Actually he proposed on Christmas Day. It was at my house next to the brightly lit tree. Very cozy and romantic. It wasnt so much of a suprise. We had discussed it, and I even picked out my own ring So, I go to graduate school up in Albany, but am planning a LI wedding. Is anyone else doing distance planning? I think it could get kinda hairy. I'm trying to do tons of vendor meetings this week while I'm home on the island. Any other ideas for distance planning?

Awww congrats again!!! That's so sweet!

There are a number of ladies on this site planning their weddings from afar... They would def be able to give you some advice... Tricky but not impossible!
