is anyone using bravura? since my FH and i have already been to their office ... and since we have seen other dj's and dont like anyone else nearly as much as bravura ... we are going to book with them! (even tho they are way over our budget ... whatever! at this point i dont even care!!! i just want good entertainment!) umm has anyone booked with them? what are you getting? and who is your MC? thanks ladies!

im not using them, but we met with them and we saw them perform at NYE at the Chateau Briand and they were great!

I want to use them so badly!!! FH wants a DJ and my family wants a band. If you google them, the reviews are either wonderful or awful, so I'm not sure who to believe!! I'm just going to assume that they are great, and the couples who are complaining just didnt communicate enough with them.

They are amazing!!!!! I booked with them and my brother did too. They had everyone dancing all night long. I can't wait for my wedding to dance!!! Crazy I know, but you can't go wrong with them at all!!!!

We booked them and FH went to the showcase they had at Chateau Briand.
Paul L. will be our MC and we added a percussionist to add an extra bang with the music. I am confident with our choice and I agree that its about communication....

I would love to hear if anyone checked out any other DJ's and how they compare. I know Starlight is raved about on this site and the fact that they use really great equipment. I also hear a ton about FM entertainment but I have to say I heard them at a wedding and was not impressed at all...but it could have just been a one off wedding. What was it about Bravura that made you choose it. We are going to a showcase in 2 weeks.

I am going to another showcase soon as well... might be the same one... I will check with FH.
Well it was a few things... I wanted to have a live band and a dj....but I did not want to spend all my money on music, and I thought they have a good balance... of some live and DJ'd music.
I also wanted to make sure that the dj would be able to fuse the spanish/itallian/american music together throughout the night. That was also why i added the percussionist.
And when I met with Paul he listened to me and offered his suggestions. That made me feel like he was really hearing me when I was talking... I am very particular with music.... and my explicit instructions - where that I want the dance floor to be full of people dancing and having a good time.
I was ready to book Int'l sounds... but we had some differences on the set up of the dj area and unfortunately it was a deal breaker. I really loved them as well.

I'm on the same boat as you. I wanted a band to add the class that a band brings with it...also i will be having about 1/3 of older people who kind of expect a band. But I also have a lot of young people coming to the wedding (we're 25) and about 1/3 if not more will also be. I want everyone to be dancing and having fun. I listened to the singer on the website and really like that idea. Do you have any idea of their prices...can you FM me??

Using Jimmy as the DJ and Paul as the live music for reception and got strolling sax for cocktail hour. oopppss MC is Raul
I checked out other ones after I saw bravura and no one compared!!!!!

I thought they were awesome! Unfortunatly they are out of my budget... But if anyone books ask for Dj Pete or i think he is known as Dj PDG ... He is awesome!!
