We booked them. They did our e-party, too, and we kept hearing how great they were. They managed to keep a crowd ranging btwn 17-84 up and dancing.

Re: Bravura DJ??

My FH and I saw them at a bridal show ....left that show and returned to the same venue in the hope that we would see them again....the Second time my FH was even more impressed b/c they sang in Italian and did a Billy Joel song.....when We went to see them and there prices....my FH was SO excited that he 'SOLD THE FARM' and we booked them on the spot!!!

SOLD THE FARM= not giving me enough time to negotiate with them SO I think we are paying A LOT but I know they will do an AMAZING JOB....

Oh my MOH's brother also used them at his wedding and they were out of this world!

Hope this helps

Re: Bravura DJ??

Just wanted you to know that I do not like the way this company does business.
I met with them on a Saturday and din't make a decision immediately b/c I thought their prices were on the high side and every other vendor was willing to negotiate. The girl I met with was terrified on negotiating and told me that I would have to wait until her boss called.

He called on a Tuesday and on my vm it clearly states that I am out of town on business until Friday and had no access to vm. I called Friday AM and got their VM. His assistant (the one I met) told me that the date was still available and he would call me. He called later that night and was not really negotiating to much but we finally agreed on a price. He calls back a little later and tries to raise it and of course I say no and he told me OK and call on Saturday.

I call on Sat for the contract and his assistant tells me that he had my file on his desk but no contract so he would have to call back.

He calls me on Tuesday to tell me that the date is taken! When I ask him what he was doing, he flat out told me that the other couple was willing to pay the listed prices and not negotiate!!!

They are very shady and I would be very skeptical.

Re: Bravura DJ??

They did my FH's best friend's wedding last year and did a really great job... so we met with them in November and were very impressed. Their prices were high so we looked around and they called us a few times to followup.

They called us again the first week of January and went over the package a bit and worked on the price. Still high, but we liked them so we met with them again. Unfortunately, we didn't meet with the owner again, but rather with their assistant (for lack of a better word). She's very nice, but since we were there to finalize a package and she didn't have the authority to say yes or no, it was a wasted trip (an hour each way for us!!!). She also told us that she would have someone make a sample CD of latin music for us (since we were concerned with their knowledge of latin music) and that someone would call me back the next day. When no one had called me by the next week, I called them and spoke to the owner (whom we originally met with).

When I spoke to the owner again, he told us that they could not (would not?) send us any sample cd, but that they can read us a list of latin artists (um, how does that show me how well you know the music?) and he raised the price by $200 which did not sit well with us at all. He tried to justify this by saying we were getting all these discounts from their 2007 prices, but they had already told us *numerous* times that they would honor the 2006 prices since we had met with them in '06 - which is why we agreed to meet with them again. Well, in the end we went with someone else.

Obviously, this was just our experience and we still think they would do a great party, but for what we wanted and needed, they just didn't fit the bill. I just feel that if they do this with other clients, they're going to lose a lot of business.

Also, unless they've changed their policies, they require a 50% cash/check deposit (and since their prices are on the high side, that means at least a $1000 deposit in cash). This was by FAR the highest required deposit of any DJ that we met.

Edited to add more.
