Braxton Hicks question...

Braxton Hicks question...

At my last appt I told my doctor that I get them pretty frequently throughout the day. She said if I get 6 in 1 hour to call them. Well, this past hour I've had 6-7 of them? Should I call, or is it nothing? I know it's better to be safe then sorry, but I just thought I'd ask. Thanks! Oh... I'm almost 33 weeks.

I don't know but if you are unsure, you should call.

always call melissa. it's probably nothing - but best to let them know so they can throw it on your chart

Well... I have to go into the doctors office at 2pm. Ugh! I don't want to! They'll have to do an internal, and I'm just not in the mood!!! I hope everything is fine... we'll see!

I'm sure everything is fine. When you are unsure of something, its always best to check with the dr or you may worry yourself sick.
Good luck! Maybe you'll get to see your little one on the sonogram.

Well, I'm back from the doctor's. They did an internal, and everything is fine that way, then they had me get hooked up to a fetal monitor for 20 minutes. Heartrate was good, no problems there, and they also monitored to see if I was having contractions. Well, while I was sitting there, I had 8 contractions! But the baby handled those just fine. They're not painful or anything, just uncomfortable. The doctor isn't concerned with preterm labor at this point, but that could change at anytime. She gave me a prescription that I can take to ease the discomfort of the contractions. That's about it for now anyway. Just giving you an update.
