Has anyone ever had this done...and is it worth it?
How many times do you have to go back?

I love it for maannnyy reasons!!
They ask you if it's your 1st time and they try and make it as comfortable as possible. It does get easier pain wise and more comfortable as you continue to go. It's pretty popular so don't be so shy when you go!

Re: Brazilian waxing...

I never had a real brazilian but I used to go to a lady who did an 'almost brazilian'---more than a regular waxing but not the real deal of brazilian waxing. It was great when it was done but I do not feel that the pain got better over time. I no longer live near this lady and I have not found anyone who does it the same way she does.

I've been getting my eyebrows done for years and I don't think that has gotten easier either.

My friend who gets brazilians say that one waxing will last all summer. I do not see how that is possible and I think she's just wacky!!

you need to grow it really long before you go- then it lasts about a month then you have to grow it long again. i prefer a good shave over the pain of the wax and the torture of growing it out.

I live in Suffolk County and two girls referred the city and Maximus in Westbury. Does anyone know of any others? My current waxing place does not do Brazilian. Thanks

Hi..I go to J Sisters in the city. They are really good. They get it over with very quick. I went To Maximus once in Westbury and did not have a good experience. The women didn't want to do a full brazilian and kept telling me that I shouldn't put myself through the pain. i thought it was strange since this was her job but maybe some of the others there do good jobs.

I'm going to try it again. I'm going to apply lodacaine and take a few asparine before hand. It hurt so bad though and she didn't get all the hairs.

Re: Brazilian waxing...

for me its sooooooo much better than shaving. when i shave its itchy growing back and like the next day its not smooth. I would say i am medium hairy ahahah ewww. anyway my cousin went to this woman named tiki. she is the cutest isreali woman and works out of arty's salon in oceanside on long beach road. anyway the first time i went i was terrified!! definitely leave your pride at the door. she made me feel really comfortable and blabbed the whole time, but my god did it hurt. the results were so amazing that i went back again though! the second time is not as bad, but still painful. i went every four weeks to the day. you dont have to let it get too long, infact if its too long it makes it harder for the waxer. usually 1/4 of an inch is enough. it feels like a babies a$$ lol. sooo smooth and lasts about 2 1/2 weeks before it starts to grow back in, slowly at that. after the third time it was almost my relaxation time! just dont shave between waxings, because then the hair grows back in all different directions and that makes it more painful! i swear by this and could not ever imagine shaving again!

No, that's the one good thing. Its not like shaving in that aspect.

I love it!!! And my Fh is now addicted The pain gets easier each time. My suggestion is going to someone you can talk to while she does it so it distracts you from the pain.

Bless you girls that get brazilians.....I'm too much of a chicken. FH doesn't care either way -- which is good because if he wanted me to do that, I'd make HIM get his pubes ripped out!!!! tit for tat......

I've tried a few places in NYC and have found the BEST place to be Completely Bare on Madison Ave. They use this type of French wax that barely hurts. I'm pretty sure they have a website.

Re: Brazilian waxing...

I once had a place that used a 'less painful' wax. It was not for brazilian-just a regular bkinin wax. It really was less painful.
