Pain (in both cases, pain is short and over quickly) Bliss: Moderate Pain Maximus: A lot of pain
My overall preference BLISS. I will choose Bliss unless I am broke, then Maximus is good enough. I am very smooth
Anyone who's done the wax before can go to Maximus, however I would not recommend anyone who's going for the wax for the first time, to go to Maximus, it's too painful. Bliss is much better in the pain category.

I park my car at the Broadway Mall parking lot everyday so I can stop by and find out. Thanks!! Kathy do you suggest I make an appt with Nancy only? Do they take appts?

That is the only problem, they don't take appts but during the day they are not busy. I go directly after work and never wait for her more than 15 minutes.

Whats the difference between threading and waxing for eyebrows? My BM told me that threading hurt more, but was easier on the skin. When I get my eyebrows waxed, I am red for hours, I have to do it like 2 days before any special event or I look all rashy & red, its so annoying.

I liked the threading better. It left my eyebrows MUCH cleaner and 'shapelier' if that makes sense. For me though, threading left me redder. The redness lasted for like a day as opposed to the waxing which goes away after a few hours. BUT I had it done Friday and I still have no new growth. With the waxing, I see new growth over night

ssdare: you'll definatly like it at bliss. We got to have champagne and fruit. everyone was so nice. As liz said the ambiance is so relaxing.
wow I guess my hair must be really thin or slow growing because I get the wax for my eyebrows and it lasts for about 3 weeks or so. I may get one stray hair but I pluck it.

I also would like to know where BLISS is located?? I want to get a Brazilian wax before the wedding.
I love the threading, I think it is so much nicer and easier on my skin than waxing was. I have been doing it for about a year now. I go to Ariana in Hicksville. Also, if you guys are in the Hicksville area already, you should try Charming Nail on Broadway, they do a great job, and have the $18 manicure/pedicure monday thru wednesday

Ok, so I have been getting brazilians for about a year now and I always gone to Oasis Spa in the city. A friend of mine suggested I try Fabulous Faces in Oceanside since Oasis was booked solid. Apparently it is near impossible to get an appointment at this Fabulous Faces place, so of course that made me think, 'if this women is so booked up she must be fantastic.' Well i made an appointment 3 weeks in advance and finally had my wax yesterday. It was wonderful. I am used to the pain, so that wasn't much of an issue, but talk about smooth.....
