Did you take a class, read books or have a personal consultant.
I am currently 28 weeks pregnant and strongly considering breatfeeding...but not really sure how to go about finding additional information.
My DH are scheduled to take a class tonight at the hospital where we are delivering...but I am hoping it will not be a waste of time/$$.
Any info would be great!!!
Thanks

Re: Breast Feeding
We took a class and it was well worth the money. Especially since I had a c-section, learning all the different holds was very helpful for me. It was also very informative when we were home with her and we had questions about breast feeding. To have all the information handy was great.

Re: Breast Feeding
I think you should buy yourself A Nursing Mother's Companion Guide and if you plan on working Working Mother/Nursing Mother. Both book are great resources! I took a free class at Stonybrook and it was very helpful and informative.
You can also see a professional lacation consultant (I have a great one in Babylon) and they will give you a ton of information and assistance.
What questions do you have about it? Maybe we can help. I am a real believer in breastfeeding and it is really beautiful thing to do with your child. If I can help please let me know.

Re: Breast Feeding
I read books, used the boards here and when in the hospital used any resource available to me...I'm still kinda new to this but I'll offer any advice I can.

Re: Breast Feeding
I read as much as I could on the subject in various books and mags. I then had some help in the hospital when she was born from the LC but that was it.
