Hello everyone, I'm new here, just got engaged 2 and a half weeks ago :) I've been looking for a reception hall for a wedding this summer and I've narrowed it down to those two places. I am leaning towards Mill Pond in Medford because it's a little cheaper and the grounds look a lot nicer for photos. The only problem is that the bridal suite at Mill Pond is really small and there's no bathroom. Has anyone had their wedding there and how was the bridal suite? Do you think I'm too worried about it and it's not that big a deal? Thanks so much! :)

I've never been there, but we did look at Brentwood CC. I don't remember much, my friend had a party there about 15 years ago and it was nice.
Where else have you looked? Whats your price range per person?

I've looked at a bunch of places that have inclusive packages (which is what I want), like Mediterranean Manor, Marconi, Holbrook Country Club, Sunset Harbor, Beach Club Estate, etc. I want it to be around 10k for everything - food and vendors included.
Brentwood CC and Mill Pond CC both have that kind of package and they include food, photo, video, DJ, invitations, limo, and flowers.
I kind of want to keep it in Suffolk or eastern Nassau but don't want to go too far out east either. And I feel like I have to decide soon because places are booking up for this summer already.

My hall is REALLY affordable! but its not a package. it starts at $68.00/pp for a Saturday night.
Also, try manor east in massapequa, I liked it there... but didn't like the fact that you have to climb up and down the stairs.
and the coral house is really affordable as is the meadow club

Thatched Cottage didn't have a package. I think I heard that it's only for winter weddings. Do those other places have a package, Princess?

I vote Mill Pond all the way! That is where I am getting married! LOL I have been to Brentwood CC for a number of weddings and was not impressed. Janet at Mill Pond is great. She will work with you every step of the way and make it exactly what you want. AND...the grounds are beautiful, and the set up for the ceremony is nice. Yes, the bridal suite is a closet, but I don't plan on really being in there much. JMO
