Brentwood Country Club & Bourne Mansion weddings
This weekend I went to two weddings... 1 @ the BCC the other @ Bourne Mansion..
Pics of both weddings are in my community albums. I am in the process of adding more pictures to both.
The atmosphere at BCC was so much more laid back and relaxed, as you can tell from the pics we had an AMAZING time.. The Bourne Mansion was more 'elegant', traditional, etc.. We were a bit uncomfortable.
I have very few complaints.. Mostly raves- but my POV's as a guest helped me a lot so here goes..
1. The BCC dj cut the first dance, mother/groom, father/bride dance short.. all of them.. very annoying. All of a sudden the song just ended. Everyone was standing there confused.
2. BCC photographer was terrible. I do not know how to put what he did into words. At least not here.. FM me for details..
3. The GM bouts were all dead, falling apart, or brown by the time the guys got to the church. I don't know if it was a mistake on the florists part or on the person that accepted the flower delivery.. Just make sure that your flowers stay cool..
4. Bourne Mansion.... 'filet mignon' was not filet mignon.. I have no idea what it was.. It tasted like stew meat.. It was not good at all..
5. Bourne mansion accoustics were terrible. The room has tremendous ceilings so the sound and words of the dj were completely lost. No one knew what was going on. The maitre'd had to continuously repeat what the dj said. The mic was making things echo, so the maitre'd just shouted..
6. The CP's at the Bourne Mansion were beautiful but not functional. More people got burned trying to relight the tea lights than those that actually got to enjoy them. Everyone was trying to relight the candles. They kept going out because of the hanging contraption.
7. Bourne Mansion only has 3 single person bathrooms. The lines after people were drinking were out of control. The lines were so long and people got very upset..
Also, I forgot to add that at 1 wedding our place cards were put out after the CH. It ended up taking me 20 mins to get through the mob to get my card & finally get to my table. My FI and I decided that our place cards must be out the entire time to avoid this..
