We just got our final bill from the hall and they charged us $800 for the bridal attendant and the MD. Would you tip them the day of?

Yes, I gave the bridal attendant 150 and the MD 750. It is typical.

Re: Bridal attendant - Costs???????
Thats a good question. My BA and MD are included with my package so I am going to tip them. You need to find out if they are getting that money or if that what the CH is charging you to provide them. If they are getting the money then I wouldn't tip them like crazy but if they aren't seeing that money then of course.

I got married at the Royalton too. Here's what I did.
The $800 goes to the waiters, bartenders, valets, busboys, etc. On top of that, I gave the maitre'd $700, and the bridal attendant $125.

Re: Bridal attendant - Costs???????
MD = MaitreD Bridal Attendant is there to help the bride and groom in any way they need. She is their shadow and personal attendant for the day. Mine was waiting for me to arrive at the RH, whisked me and my stuff up to the bridal suite and then helped me get dressed. She made sure I ate and drank something before the ceremony, that I touched up my lipstick before pics, my hiar was in place, I had my veil..... Tons of other stuff but you get the idea.
The cost of ours was included in the price, but we tipped both of them accordingly.

We did it based on performance. The MD wasnt great so we gave $400, and the BA was AMAZING! so we gave her $300. which is a lot I think for a BA.

I asked Gerard the same question - since this is for 'executive salary' or whatever they call it, do we still have to tip them. He said 'if you want to.' Ugh. I honestly have no idea. Most other people don't have that $800 in their contract so I don't know if we should follow the same tipping as other halls.
Let me know what you do.

Re: Bridal attendant - Costs???????
My parents said it is an added fee just for the Bridal attendant and MD. The staff is paid seperately. I might give them a little, but that 800 is an extra in the contract. I am so confused.
