i just signed up for a bridal bootcamp in manhattan (around union square), and was wondering if anyone else had either participated or were planning on starting this september.
i spent about an hour on the phone with one of the personal trainers, and i'm really excited about getting started!

Re: bridal bootcamp
here's what i know so far:
there are three packages:
elite- you meet with a big group of girls (all brides) to work out on mondays and wednesdays. also, you have a personal trainer every week. this runs about $2500
combat (the one i'm doing)- you still meet with the girls on monday and wednesday, but you get a personal trainer once a month. this is $1500.
the last one is basic, which i know is less, but i don't remember the details. sorry!
she also offers flexible plans and can mix and match accordingly.
the program runs for 3 months, and after you complete the program you're a 'reservist.' as a reservist, the prices are cut in half, according to stephanie (the trainer). she is a really cool girl who's writing a book on the topic.
i really got along with her because we were both high school athletes who let ourselves go a little during college. this program got her in shape for her friend's wedding.
her number is: 917.687.9353
classes begin again september 14 (this is an orientation).
it's not through a gym. stephanie and her other drill sargeants do this independently, as personal trainers. they call it top dawg fitness i think.

It was expensive back when I did it and now its a lot more! Its in like a dance room over on 18th street.

it's for three months. after you complete the three months, the price is greatly reduced.

over $1k for 3 months -
hey, more power to you! Sh*t though for that much you could get lipo right before the wedding AND get a case of OREOs from price club.

i read your review. other than the eating, why do you think it didn't work for you? was it the program? did they not do enough?

Re: bridal bootcamp
Yes I am a terrible dieter, so that defintly worked against me and also that was the only day I worked out, if you are able to keep the routine strict on your own, it will definitly work for you.
Its fun though, its nice to talk to other brides about their wedding and everyone working towards a similar goal. I dont regret doing bridal bootcamp now but I think if its a money issue a personal trainer would go farther (without the same bride experience though)
