I noticed a couple of gym's are advertising Bridal bootcamp and buff bride programs.......is anybody doing this? I think Gold's and NYSC both have these. Does anyone know of any others?

Re: Bridal Bootcamp
haven't seen any 'bridal' type classes but you could try getting a personal trainer for a few sessions before the wedding...I used one to prepare for my black belt test in taekwondo and it made a huge difference...I did mostly weight raining with him and did running on my own...and my regular taekwondo classes 3-4 times a week.
The gym by me allowed me to sign up for sessions without having to join the gym...it wasn't too expensive either...
My friend & his wife did personal training at a Bally's before their wedding and his wife looked great...she lost about 10-15lbs and toned up big time
Pilates kicks your butt into shape too...a friend lost alot of weight and looks great doing that!

Re: Bridal Bootcamp
I'm going to try to do it on my own, with my mom, by doing some yoga. I'm starting as soon as this semester at school is over. And if I don't see the results I want by January, I'm signing up at NYSC for the Bridal personal trainer sessions.

Re: Bridal Bootcamp
I signed up for the one at Gold's, but Gold's only acts as a weigh-in staton.
You are emailed a diet and exercise plan once a week.

Re: Bridal Bootcamp
Here's what I found:
Gold's -(Bellmore) they only offer the Bridal contest..........the Woodside and Astoria locations have a personal trainer that will work with you, who is a part of the Bridal bootcamp. This is a high intensity workout designed for weight loss and some toning. She had several packages to choose from starting at $350 and up.
NYSC- (East Meadow) has the buff bride program 12 weeks of personal training, 3 times a week. It is $1400 for the entire program plus the gym membership and monthly dues.

Re: Bridal Bootcamp
Long point to boot camp... On Friday I was inquiring about a bridal program/bootcamp at my gym (other than just trainers)...so that I could let you all know......and they told me they don't have one yet but are interested in getting one together....jeff (the manager) and I started talking about a bridal program and where I was getting my info SO I told him about Fit TV, Bridezillas and LIW ......and Basically offered me a job to help out with front desk and marketing ideas (since I have so many good ones......) I hate sounding like I am a spammer!
I start today!! how awesome is that..........So lady's I will need your help on this one....what are we looking for....what are other gyms offering? OMG I have so many idea's... this is what I like: an affordable program that I can learn from so that when my wedding is over I will actually be able to remember the stuff my trainer taught me...also I would like to meet a 'bride buddy' bride: so that we can work out together and motivate each other ....all my friends have different schedules so it's hard ...plus they are not motivated (sometimes they just want to go to the gym to 'hangout' ) sorry so long!!! BTW they are still hiring...for Sales!

ohh I see, thanks for the info
I get weighed in at Jenny Craig and get my food from there so it doesn't sound like it would help me too much. Guess I'll stick to my own workout routine!

Re: Bridal Bootcamp
Just another option if you have Cablevision you can go on Mag Rack and get all of these work out videos for free. There are some really good ones to. I go to the gym and then come home and do that ab work out. If you interested go to
the io button on demand free on demand mag rack and then it will list the different options.
